Course structure
The course is designed to help trainees prepare for the CELTA interview and then the course. Therefore, the course is intensive and is close to the start date of our next CELTA course.
Look at word categories and a brief overview of word and sentence structures – a grammar refresher!
Discuss how much learners and teachers should know about pedagogical grammar.

Explore ways of conveying the meaning of structures.

Discover ways of checking understanding.
Plan engaging teaching contexts for the language points.
Deliver clear and thorough language presentation to students.
Setting engaging contexts for learners and language.
Setting focused and more communicative practice activities for the language points.
Become familiar with the CELTA course and the interview format.
Reflect on (previous) learning and teaching experience, course expectations, mock interview questions and Q&A session about the interview, the preparation course, as well as the CELTA course.
Meet your trainer.
Sarah Graham Juhasz
Sarah holds a BA in International Relations from the US, a Master’s degree in Education and International Development from the UK, and holds the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA qualifications from the Czech Republic.
She has lived and worked in multiple countries and continents (Czech Republic, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Latvia, Tanzania, USA, UK, Hungary) as a teacher, trainer, examiner, education consultant, and training coordinator in the field of NGOs.
