There’s an overwhelming number of TEFL-related resources on the internet. Below are a select few that people have found useful for various purposes– getting a job, planning lessons, seeking further training. If you find any that you’d suggest we add, let us know.

INTERNATIONAL HOUSE WORLD ORGANISATION
The IHWO website is useful in the job hunting process; click on the ‘Jobs’ link to take you straight to a listing of current TEFL vacancies. The site will also provide the contact details of all 150 affiliate schools in the network, useful if you want to contact a school directly to inquire about possible vacancies.

CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT
The Cambridge site is the best place to get detailed information about the content and assessment of Cambridge English Language Assessment courses including the CELTA and the DELTA.

TEFLWORK
A website with lots of job postings for teaching positions all over the world, most of which ask for the CELTA as a minimum requirement.

A very popular site for job hunting and communication among TEFL teachers working all around the world.

ESL TEACHERS BOARD
Post your CV and find materials for your lessons.

THE GUARDIAN
A subsection of The Guardian website, has TEFL-related news, links, video etc.

LIBRA BOOKS
A great source of methodology books for teachers, as well as coursebooks. 15% discount for teachers and students!

DISCOVERY EDUCATION’S PUZZLEMAKER
One of many sites you’ll find useful for creating fun activities for your students.

QUIZLET
A free tool for creating flashcards and other activities for learning and studying vocabulary.

ONESTOPENGLISH.COM
A very comprehensive and well-maintained resource for EFL/ESL teachers.

BBC LEARNING ENGLISH
Lots of graded material suitable for self-study too. Might be of interest to your students.

GABA
A English Conversation school in Japan that values the CELTA recruits English Instructors from all over the world. Check the (recent) reviews and make your own judgement.
